Take a detour

名詞detour常配動詞make或者take--take/make a detour。例句:The taxi driver took a detour to avoid the busy traffic.(的士司機繞道而行,以避開繁忙的交通。)It's really worth making a detour to visit the museum.(很值得繞行去參觀博物館。)I'm a bit hungry. Can we take a detour to the cafe for a quick snack?(我有點餓了,我們可以繞路去咖啡店吃點小食嗎?)

The boss detoured to The Peak for a special lunch meeting.(老闆繞道到山頂,出席一個特別的午餐會議。)He detoured around the roadworks.(他繞過道路工程。)
