世界第一

周末去了中環一家whisky bar上堂，主角是我的至愛：來自蘇格蘭Highland、擅長「玩桶」，以不同類型酒桶進行二次熟成的威士忌酒廠Glenmorangie。

導師先由Glenmorangie Distillery的前世今生及釀酒風格說起，然後試飲90年代中以後推出的「Old Bottles」版本，包括：Glenmorangie 10 Years Old、Glenmorangie Cellar 13、Glenmorangie 18 Years Old、Glenmorangie Traditional 100 Proof及Glenmorangie Elegance 21 Years Old。

個人心水是在Bourbon cask陳年的Glenmorangie 18 Years Old，除了充滿品牌標誌風格的柑橘及香草氣息，還有討好的花香及順滑而creamy的口感，有如一道完美的飯後甜品。

愈試愈開心，忽然瞥見bar枱後排放着一支Old Pulteney, peated cask, Vintage 1990，正正是日前剛公布World Whiskies Awards「World's Best Single Malt Whisky」得主Old Pulteney Vintage 1989的不同年出品。

Old Pulteney同樣來自蘇格蘭Highland地區，「相請不如偶遇」，二話不說，點了一pack試飲，可惜，初次邂逅，沒有即時愛上，於是，再接再厲，點了whisky menu內兩款混入雪莉桶風味的「Sherry finish」選擇：Old Pulteney 17 Years及Old Pulteney 21 Years。

Old Pulteney 21 Years的來頭不小，於2012年被《Jim Murray Whisky Bible》高度評價為「World Whisky of the Year」，清甜果香及蜜糖味道之後，是強烈的spicy度及木桶氣息。

不過，飲到最後，反而更愛沒有獎項光環的Old Pulteney 17 Years。混合了Bourbon桶、PX及Oloroso雪莉木桶陳存熟成，果香味及木桶味複雜濃郁，帶少許鹹海水氣息，aftertaste悠長細緻有個性，讓人回味。
