Attitude

很多家長慨嘆兩、三歲人仔就要奔波面試，其實主要看家長的心態（attitude）。每次「面試」，我都跟女兒說：「去和老師玩耍唱歌！」自己則着重看她是否玩得開心，是否喜歡這所幼稚園。

名詞attitude解「心態、態度、看法」，對某人或事的感覺或者意見，或由此引起的行為模式。常用adopt/take/have a（adjective）attitude（持某種態度）。例如，The very first suggestion I give to patients is to adopt a positive attitude towards life.（我給病人的第一個建議是採取積極的生活態度。）The public have a rather ambivalent attitude towards the government's new policy.（公眾對政府的新政策態度相當矛盾。）

描述人strike an attitude，即是指那人「裝腔作勢」，擺出某種姿態。例句：They struck an attitude of moral superiority and disagreed with making a profit from charity shops.（他們擺出一副站於道德高地的姿態，不同意從慈善店賺錢。）

如果描述某人has an attitude problem，即是說他「態度有問題」，不予合作，難相處。例句：Some staff have a real attitude problem.（有些員工態度很有問題。）
