Interfere

亞馬遜雨林佔全球雨林及森林總面積近一半，是製造我們20%氧氣的「地球之肺」，亞馬遜大火自然引起國際關注，法國總統更提議在G7峰會討論。巴西總統隨即反對，表示此乃干預（interfere）巴西內政。

Interfere解「干涉、插手」，即是故意捲入某狀況，不應該管而硬要管，去過問別人的事或制止別人的行動。Interfere是不及物動詞，需要後接介詞，帶出干涉甚麼。例句︰China warned the U.S. not to interfere with the internal affairs of Hong Kong.（中國警告美國不要干涉香港的內政。）；It is unwise to interfere between a husband and a wife.（干涉兩夫妻間的事並不明智。）

口語可以用poke/stick your nose into something代替interfere，尤其是指干涉別人的私事。例句︰We have enough trouble on our hands so don't poke your nose into other people's business.（我們已經夠麻煩了，所以不要干涉別人的事。）；Could you please just stop sticking your nose into my personal life？（能否請你停止探聽我的私生活呢？）
