人窮志不窮，菲律賓一名16歲少年，家庭經濟情況因疫情陷困，為幫補家計他每天清晨4時起床與媽媽煮豆腐花，返學時擔著兩個鐵桶沿途叫賣。儘管生活艱苦，他受訪時從未埋怨，也不為自己的出身感到羞恥。

綜合外媒報道，事發在菲律賓坦薩（Tanza），有居民拍到一名穿校服男生在街上大聲叫賣「taho」，該為一款菲律賓豆腐花食品，伴有西米等配料。拍片者指經常遇到該名少年，認為像他如此的青少年不常見，看到如此景象也感心痛，相信他一定面對經濟困難。

每朝4時準備豆腐花
當地記者經追查下發現，該名少年叫Gurprit Paris D. Singh，被稱呼為「Gopi」（戈皮），今年16歲、讀11年級。他指自己父親是印度人、媽媽是菲律賓人。由於母親為家庭主婦，父親的生意則因疫情生意每況愈下，所以他希望幫補家計。由於打工有年齡限制等問題，因此決定6月開始賣豆腐花。
戈皮每逢星期一至五早上4時就會起床，跟媽媽準備豆腐花，並在上學時沿路叫賣，賣不出的豆腐花會帶回學校，獲校長批准在課餘時間再賣，不少老師和同學都會光顧，如仍有剩則會在回家路上繼續賣，每天可賺取約400至600披索（約50至80港元）。

對於賣豆腐花令人同情和憐憫，甚至有人覺得他的遭遇很淒慘，他坦言最初叫賣也相當尷尬，直至獲得客人讚賞，令他開始放開及自信心大增，「賣豆腐花並無錯，這是一份道德的工作，我不會為自己售賣豆腐花而感到羞恥。」
戈皮夢想成為一名土木工程師，他相信所有問題都像數學一樣有解決方法，如生活上遇到困難，賣豆腐花就是解決方法之一。儘管為豆腐花生意每日忙個不停，不過戈皮仍將學業放在首位，他在學校表現一樣良好，令老師相當佩服，媽媽就指兒子在周末只會溫習和休息，平衡賺錢和學業。
他逆境自強的經歷感動不少網民，當地一間賽車商店更主動向他提供物資和一輛電動三輪車，讓他在叫賣和上學時使用，更收到不少善心人士的捐款。
